The 17th ATA 2012 Call for Entries has Begun
Now in its 17th year, this industry-recognised annual Awards is a celebration honouring the outstanding achievements of terrestrial broadcasters, cable and satellite networks, and independent production houses in the region.
This year, three new award categories have been introduced, namely Best 2D Animated Programme, Best 3D Animated Programme and Best Sports Presenter/Commentator, adding up to a total of 38 categories across television genres and performance segments. In addition, broadcasters and networks who chalk up the most number of winning entries (1st place and runner ups) will vie for the four top awards - Terrestrial Channel of the Year, Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year, Terrestrial Broadcaster of the Year, and Cable & Satellite Network of the Year.

Singapore, 8 December 2011 - The winners of the 16th Asian Television Awards were announced tonight at a spectacular gala dinner and awards ceremony held at the Shangri-La Hotel.
Superpitch 2011 Winners Announced
The Superpitch competition last Thursday, December 8th, showcased 17 incredibly strong and varied projects from across the region. We saw finalists battle it out for pitch supremacy in front of a live audience of 209 participants at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. A mixture of non-fiction, kids television and formats drew the attention of the judges who attended and supported the event. Since the event a number of pitchers have been in talks with these international broadcasters.
