Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific Scores Double Win

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP) scored a double win at the Asian Television Awards 2010 in Singapore last night, taking home the main award of "Cable & Satellite Network of the Year" and its flagship brand Discovery Channel winning "Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year."

Discovery Networks Asia-Pacific (DNAP) scored a double win at the Asian Television Awards 2010 in Singapore last night, taking home the main award of "Cable & Satellite Network of the Year" and its flagship brand Discovery Channel winning "Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year." In addition, DNAP picked up 17 wins and commendations in the Programming, Performance and Technical & Creative categories.

DNAP has dominated the awards for the last four years, winning "Cable & Satellite Network of the Year" in 2007 and 2008, and "Cable & Satellite Channel of the Year" (Discovery Channel) in 2009.

Now into its 15th year, the Asian Television Awards, the media industry's most prestigious event, recognises the region's programming and production excellence. Close to 1,000 entries from 15 countries around Asia-Pacific were received this year and were reviewed by a panel of judges comprising notable industry experts and leaders. These awards of merit are presented annually by leading trade publication Television Asia Plus, supported by the Media Development Authority of Singapore (MDA).
