The Superpitch competition last Thursday, December 8th, showcased 17 incredibly strong and varied projects from across the region. We saw finalists battle it out for pitch supremacy in front of a live audience of 209 participants at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. A mixture of non-fiction, kids television and formats drew the attention of the judges who attended and supported the event. Since the event a number of pitchers have been in talks with these international broadcasters.
Both Superpitch and the ATA Showcase, held earlier that day and also attended by a number of industry professionals and media students, provide a platform for creatives to share, interact and learn from some of the region’s top decision makers. Both events are an outlet for the creative industry to tap into and develop relationships that can enhance their work and connections in the television industry.
The winners are as follows, in three categories:
| Documentary | Samurai in Fukushima | K&Y Distribution LLP | Japan |
| Children/Preschool | Pajama Jump | Story Me Studios Sdn Bhd | Malaysia |
| Formats | Jungle Racer Borneo | PT Borneo Productions International | Indonesia |
