Singapore, 8 December 2011 - The winners of the 16th Asian Television Awards were announced tonight at a spectacular gala dinner and awards ceremony held at the Shangri-La Hotel.
Superpitch 2011 Winners Announced
The Superpitch competition last Thursday, December 8th, showcased 17 incredibly strong and varied projects from across the region. We saw finalists battle it out for pitch supremacy in front of a live audience of 209 participants at the Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. A mixture of non-fiction, kids television and formats drew the attention of the judges who attended and supported the event. Since the event a number of pitchers have been in talks with these international broadcasters.
Superpitch 2011 Nominations Announced
Singapore, 23 November 2011 – The finalists for Superpitch 2011 were proudly announced today by organising publication Television Asia Plus. The six shortlisted entrants of each genre will be pitching their idea in person to a panel of expert judges on Thursday, 8 December at Pan Pacific Hotel, Singapore. The session comprises a 10-minute pitch, followed by a question and answer session with the judges.

Alongside Superpitch is the ATA Showcase, where nominees of this year’s Asian Television Awards, along with regional directors, producers and creative talents engage with each other in an intimate workshop style dialogue.

ATA 2011 Nominees Announced
Singapore, 17 November 2011 – The finalists for this year’s Asian Television Awards 2011 (ATA) were announced today by organising publication Television Asia Plus. A total of 224 entries spanning 13 countries have been short-listed for the 16th Annual Presentation of the region’s prestigious industry honours.
This year’s entries surpassed those in 2010, with close to 1,040 submissions recieved across various television genres and performance categories. Over the past one month 46 specialist judges from 11 countries in the Asia-Pacific have viewed the entries with final results being audited by PricewaterhouseCoopers.
Adding to the excitement this year, three new award categories have been introduced, namely: Best Preschool Education Programme; Best Theme Song and Best Drama Screenplay. In addition, the two documentary categories have been renamed as Best Documentary Feature (one-off) and Best Documentary Series, reflecting the changes going on within the industry.
The 39 winners of these esteemed Awards will be announced at an exclusive Gala Dinner on December 8, held this year at Singapore’s Shangri-La Hotel.
